Senior Wealth Advisor, Partner

Christie Bonacci’s journey into wealth management is grounded in service, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to helping others thrive. Raised in the scenic Finger Lakes region of New York as the eldest of six siblings, she learned early on the value of responsibility and resilience. That foundation served her well as she balanced raising two sons with part-time roles in finance and accounting across nonprofits and small businesses while being a USMC wife.

After earning her Master of Accounting from the University of North Carolina's Kenan-Flagler Business School, graduating as valedictorian, Christie launched her career in public accounting at Deloitte. Her dedication to teaching led her to share her expertise as an instructor of audit and assurance in UNC’s Master of Accounting program.

In 2019, Christie found a natural home at BlueSky Wealth Advisors, where she now serves as a Senior Wealth Advisor and Partner. Armed with CPA and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) credentials, Christie brings a unique blend of technical depth, leadership experience, and heartfelt care for the individuals and families she serves. She sees financial planning as more than numbers: it’s a thoughtful puzzle of human behavior, intention, and legacy. She is passionate about untangling the complex, simplifying, and educating clients to feel empowered and confident on their journey to financial independence.

Why Wealth Management?

Money is never just about the numbers.

It’s about your story—your values, your vision, your life.

From an early age, I had a natural instinct for how money works—not just how it works on paper and how we manage it, but what it means in people’s lives and how people FEEL about it. Financial journeys are about hopes, fears, family dynamics, and the kind of life someone wants to live. That insight is what drew me to wealth advising—and it’s what keeps me inspired every day.

As a Senior Wealth Advisor, CPA/ PFS, I bring both depth and precision to every plan, but numbers are just part of the equation. For me, financial planning is part art, part strategy. My approach is grounded, creative, and values-driven. I love the process of designing a strategy that doesn’t just look good on a spreadsheet—it feels right for the life someone wants to lead. That might mean simplifying the complicated, catching the tax nuance others missed, or just being the person a client can call when life throws something unexpected their way.

I design a plan that fits someone’s life—not a template, but something built thoughtfully and intentionally. Every client’s story is different, and that’s what makes this work meaningful.

For me, this work is deeply personal. I see each client as a whole person, not just a portfolio. Whether they’re planning for retirement, navigating a business transition, or preparing to pass on wealth to the next generation, I’m there to guide them through the financial and emotional complexities of each season to bring clarity to complexity, to instill confidence. I consider it a privilege, humbling, and an honor to walk alongside and partner with clients as they make decisions that often intersect with some of life’s biggest moments.

My role isn’t just to provide expertise, it’s to listen, understand, and help them move forward with confidence.

Why BlueSky?

I was impressed by BlueSky’s comprehensive, one-stop-shop model covering cash flow, investment management, tax planning, compliance, risk management, and estate services. The alternative pricing formula, aligning fees with the complexity of the advice delivered, reinforces our client-first philosophy.
