Jack Nelson’s path to BlueSky Wealth Advisors is a homecoming in every sense. A native of New Bern, North Carolina, Jack grew up with a natural curiosity about finance and a desire to help people build toward the things that matter most. That interest took him to East Carolina University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2026 with a degree in Business, concentrating in Finance and Risk Management and Insurance. His academic excellence earned him induction into Beta Gamma Sigma, an honor reserved for the top 10% of ECU’s business school.

Before earning his degree, Jack spent a summer interning at BlueSky in 2025. That experience didn’t just confirm his interest in financial planning; it showed him exactly the kind of work he wanted to do and the kind of firm he wanted to do it with. When the opportunity came to join the team full-time, returning to his hometown to begin his career felt like a natural fit.
